Sophie Traub

Sophie earned her B.A. in Journalism at the University of Magdeburg and her M.A. in International Literatures at the University of Tübingen. Her research focuses on the Goethezeit, the long 19th Century and mainly on German, British and US-American literature. Authors to whom she returns are Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen, the Brontë Sisters, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hunter S. Thompson, Novalis, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as well as Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. 

Outside of academia Sophie loves to travel and has spent numerous months abroad working for NGOs and other projects in the social field. In her free time she enjoys hiking, any kind of sports, playing the piano, cooking, and spending as much time in nature as possible.
