Sadey earned her B.A. in Global Cultural Studies from Duke Kunshan University with a track of World Literature in 2025. Her undergraduate thesis explores transgenerational war trauma in relation to poetic language, drawing on poets that include Paul Celan and Ocean Vuong. Her current research interests are poetry and poetics, post-holocaust poetry, critical theory (in particular the Frankfurt School), philosophy, aesthetics, trauma and memory, language and translation.
Outside of her critical research, she writes poetry and published her debut poetry collection I am safe as I am in 2024. She likes dancing, yoga, coffee, and cats.
