"John Gill received his B.A. in Philosophy and German Studies in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Gill worked for the Internet Archive as a digital archivist until 2013, when he joined the Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies. His dissertation examines the intersection of politics and aesthetic imagination in German Romanticism. Additional research interests include: 19th and early 20th century European intellectual culture, avant-gardism, literary and critical theory, and the history of modern revolutionary thought."
