Jeffrey has a BA in German, history and psychology and an MA in European Studies from Indiana University Bloomington, where his MA thesis explored the historical development of the political concept of Bewegung in the German context from 1790 to the early twentieth century. His dissertation research focuses on the aesthetics of satiric theatre and its place within the broader public sphere between 1789 and 1848 in Germany and Austria, specifically as it appears in correlation with and in response to the broader sociopolitical and cultural controversies of the time.
